Marketing
Marketing is a profession that exposes a person to the outside world. It offers what other courses do not offer in this competitive world of business. Marketing has been my dream profession since childhood as i used to admire those people who were in business of marketing, how successful they were. Sometimes we could go to a shopping mall, I used to admire it and ask my parents why there were so many customers in there, my parents could always tell me that in future do a marketing course, it could offer me the answer . I used to like the advertisements on radio and television. They were very captivating, and the way those advertising were convincing the potential customers. I used to like the kind of language they were using. I could then go to the mall to verify whether certain products that were being advertised were being bought in large numbers. Sometimes it could be true and this motivated me to like marketing because through it, one can convince and influence large number of people to buy new products.
After finishing my secondary education, I just wanted to test the marketing world, and was able to get a job with an advertising company for four months. The job really exposed me to the marketing world. I traveled a lot, made several friends, was able to meet some of the successful people in the business of marketing and they influenced me a lot and advised me that they had seen potential in me so need for me to take up a marketing course. I was able to influence many potential customers to buy our products in large numbers and this excited me most. Because I want be successful like them I had no option but take up the marketing course. I wanted my name and business to be in the news like theirs. But this is through hard work and determination. In our modern world, it is now reverting into business, there are many young people like me who have taken up marketing course and have become very successful, and i want to be like them. I have an uncle who took a marketing course and has become successful in his business. He has opened many branches; he has become my role model. In my dreams I just wish to become like him, He keeps on inspiring me to take up the course and has promised to assist me to become successful like him.
My parents keep on reminding of my past on how is used to admire the businesses of other people. They also wish me to have one, become successful like the rest. This has highly motivated me to take up this course of marketing as this has been my long time dream and desire.
